Artist History
The band -- driven by intense writing and backed with a rock-solid rhythm section -- 50 Watt Stereo is amped to make noise in the music scene. New York native and lead singer Steven Burgos - who previously fronted the band The Preachers - deftly blends a passionate baritone with brilliant hooks. Lead guitarist Eddie Guzman -- a one-time member of Orlando-based band Misery She Loves -- adds inspired licks and tuneful riffs.
Rounding out the band's foundation is bass player Roly Aleman, also a veteran of Misery She Loves, who creates a fascinating groove to the art of bottom-ending by executing uniquely fluid yet punchy style. Completing the band is drummer Jossey Hernandez. A recent addition, previously of the outfit The Gimmicks, Hernandez flatout wails the shells with his original style.
The result is 50 Watt Stereo's sound: a clean attack -- an emo sounding, roll licking, rock groove. Currently 50 Watt Stereo is writing and rehearsing new material in Hialeah FL and is, without question, the band that will bring Rock 'n' Roll back on the map with it's unique blend of music.
After that, it is only a matter of time before 50 Watt Stereo begins making serious sound waves.
