Artist description With a blend of punk/nu-rock influences ONE STAR ELEMENT has now surfaced onto the Marquette, Michigan music scene. The band has a music style all their own. Although young and still searching, the band has mixed emotional vocals, driving bass, and melodic guitar parts into their songs. ONE STAR ELEMENT has surpassed the expectations of critics and their peers. After only being together for a month they performed show after show at local bars in the area. To mix things up the band would write a new song sometimes even the day before show to surprise their audience. Recently, ONE STAR ELEMENT went into the studio with Jim Bellmore of Da Yoopers to record their first single, which is due out in late May. This two song EP includes 51st Drive and Alone with Razors. The band has worked hard to put out their CD all on their own without the help of any kind of record label. The band did all the artwork and is also distributing the CD. In addition, the band has created their own website where fans can keep up to date on all of the bands activities.  Other accomplishments of the band have been a full house battle of the bands performance.. They have also done a benefit for the March of Dimes, opened for The Red Hot Valentines, and performed a local benefit for a girl that needed help paying for her hospital bills, where they helped raised $700.00+. ONE STAR ELEMENT enjoys performing live and now has a strong local fan base, in the Marquette area. For the future, ONE STAR ELEMENT has set their sights out of the local music scene. They are now looking for shows and supporting act slots for other bands. They are eager for next fall when the band hopes to do as many shows as possible and release a full-length album.
