Artist description
Fake Gimms successfully breed an original
experimental sound while holding true to their
roots in popular rock and indie music. Since their
official formation in the summer of 2000, the members
have been mastering a style that supplements crunching,
overdriven electric guitars reminicent of Muse and
Nirvana with melodic Beatles-esque vocal melodies.
By lacing this already enticing combination with a
hint of warm synths and keys, Fake Gimms have
achieved the versatile and listener-friendly sound that
today's rock fans have longed for. |

Artist History
Members Joe Pfeiffer (guitar, rhodes piano,
vocals), Greg Kuter (guitar, vocals) and Jared
Duncan (bass, rhodes piano, synth) are no
strangers to each others' musical flavors and
abilities. Crossing paths in the mid-ninties they
have grown together as musicians, performers and
as friends, making the writing process for Fake
Gimms nearly effortless. Tom Morra (drums)
completed the lineup in 2000, fortifying the long
sought-after experimental rock sound the trio
was looking for.
As a four-piece, they have developed a virtual
library of songs and recordings that over time
have been worked and reworked by the members in
effort to perfect their unique style. In 2001,
they released their self-titled EP which features
a mere taste of the band's material. The four
song disc showcases a rock oriented "Beyond
Gospel" and even stretches to a jazz-influenced
"Rattlesnake". Since the EP's release they have
performed in New Jersey and New York City,
developing an intimate and loyal following of
fans. The fresh rock sound of Fake Gimms has
grabbed experienced and casual music listeners
alike in the New York area, just as it will when
it reaches rock radio waves across the nation.
