Artist History
Dyer Street was formed last year in Los Angeles, California where the band went into the studio to start working on their debut CD. Their goal was to create a CD that would stand up against their favorite rock albums of the 70 s.
The process began with the collaboration of Jesse Wray and Dave Nelson who started to lay the groundwork for what was to become The Rock Album. The first and most important element in making a great record is the songs. The result is a CD full of great album cuts like The Question and Set Me Free along with three or four potential hit singles like Jungleland, I Sold My Soul For You and I’m Your Fool.
The Dyer Street personnel starts with Dave Nelson, simply the best rock voice to come out in the last 10 years. It has been said that Daves vocals have the breath of David Coverdale, the attack of Lou Gramm, and the feel of Paul Rodgers. Jesse Wray is the bands lead guitarist who also contributes bass and keyboards to the new CD. The guitarist sites Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Foreigner, UFO and Rush as main influences and plays with the feel and passion of Jimmy Page, Joe Perry and Alex Lifeson. Danny Lorenze is one of the most sought after and best drummers in Los Angeles. Danny is a solid rock drummer influenced by John Bonham and Neil Peart. James Hancock brings to the table just what we needed. James plays organ with the conviction of Jon Lord and contributes bass and keyboards to the Dyer Street live show.
Now that Dyer Street has completed what they call The Rock Album the band feels confident that this CD is a must have for rock fans around the world.
