Artist History In the year of our lord 2001, Xs & Ys was formed. It was the beginning of fall semester at ETSU when a professor introduced Jared and Jack to each other. They had similar interests in music and after some prodding from Jared they got together one day to see what their musical backgrounds could create. Many ideas came and so practice became a ritual and several songs were formed. After a couple of months the search for a bass player led to a friend of Jack, Ryan. The musical direction of the band is towards a dark progressive emo type of sound.
