Press Reviews
The School Guitars formed in early 2002 as a group of rag-tag musicians in second period guitar class at Lake Washington High School. Sharing a mutual love of music and artistic child pornography, the members of the band found that together they could produce music of a much higher caliber than the music each was capable of producing on his own, with the exception of Eric Bleeker whose bass skills were drastically lessened when performing with the band. Drawing inspiration from such musical talents as Jimmy (the corn-cracker of folk song legend), Josh Tuggle, Michael Bolton, and an effeminate man who played classical guitar that visited their guitar class as a guest speaker one day, The School Guitars produced a sound that was both unique and masterful, and their astounding impact on the musical community has been immeasurable. - The New York Times |
