Artist History
HADZIMA'S history as a "professional musician" can trace its humble roots to the summer of 2000 singing his originals for one friend at a time, leading up to singing in front of many people at a time, until he played his first official gig in the summer of 2001 as co-front man of "Samasati" in Winchester, MA for the Town Day festival in front of about 300 people..."It was raw...to say the least!" The crowd dwindled to about 50 people by the end of the set. "It was pretty nerve racking...but we obviously had some work to do."
A rocky start...off pitch, out of tune, out of rythm, served as our starting point...but some people actually loved our stuff enough to keep us going on for a couple more gigs before Hadzima went his own way and began booking solo gigs around New York City. By the end of 2001 I found myself touring Spain solo with a guitar and faith all
around the country. I returned to New York revitalized and inspired to move forward quickly and started booking prep school and college gigs for the entire Spring Semester quickly gaining a loyal underground fan base among students in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachussetts, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. Radio airplay on Bates College Radio, WBROC, Emerson College Radio, and a live performance on Southern New Hampshire University's Radioactive 1620 AM (www.radioactive1620.com), and currently negotiating a song for the end-credits of a feature film, which is titled: "FUNNY VALENTINE" STARRING ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL (www.funny-valentine.com) and getting sponsorship and publicity by: Watermelonpatch Productions(link: www.watermelonpp.com |
