Artist description
Thank you for visiting our home at mp3.com. It is our exquisite pleasure to have you explore TokyoSoul.com.
So, let's get some introductions out of the way,
If you haven't heard our music, attended a performance, or met us,
you may be asking yourself that nagging question:
"What is ECCO?"
ECCO is a Rock And Roll Band (TM),
(but I suspect that they may be connected to the syndicate).
Their music merges high energy Rock And Roll (TM) with sordid avant-garde and ambient excursions
(which suggest decadent motives and transcendent perspectives.)
"They are not afraid to lace jagged yet seductive hooks into their songs and layer
them in haunting, passionately emotive landscapes of sound. It's amped up pop erudition
for a new epoch!"
(The above sentence is cleverly meant to resemble a quote because it is gratuitously self-promotional).
The members of ECCO are:
Dennis Tirch, who is an experimental pop singer-songwriter.
He plays both loud and quiet guitars and such, and writes streams of words
and arcane instrumental pieces, largely within frequency ranges which humans have been designed to hear,
but not always.
(There are strange books and statues and wires on his desk).
AND
Mike Roze, who is a producer and avant-garde composer.
He plays synthesizers, and drums, and such, and programs computers
and vast artificial intelligences to bend light and sound around corners.
(His home resembles Cape Canaveral).
(If you were here you would probably find them both rather kind, mild-mannered yet talkative, dressed
in black and perhaps somewhat on edge).
ECCO live are:
Dennis Tirch: Vocals and Guitars
Mike Roze: Keyboards and Synthesizers
Rick Mercaldi: Guitars, and relentless energy burn
Ron Mutone: Bass, and quickened pulse
Clyde Alford: Drums, and big bad boom
THEY WILL BE PLAYING IN NYC , NJ, and MA FROM JUNE INTO AN EVER-CHANGING TOMORROW.
WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO BE THERE & WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.
MAY ALL BEINGS ATTAIN HAPPINESS
TAKE CARE

Artist History
Ecco was originally a solo project involving the work
of singer/songwriter Dennis Tirch aka Ecco Osiris, as documented
on the Osiris Records CD "Sound, Mind and Body."
Sadly, the contributors to that recording were
all kidnapped by Barbary Pirates, and now
pillage up and down the Meditarranean Sea.
ECCO the band was born of the collaboration of Dennis
and Mike Roze, after their meeting in a space time travel nexus,
extradimensional priest convention, and electronic music
recording trade show. |
