Press Reviews
'Caught Up' Review Recorded around their house this well produced demo suggests a band landing on the right side of twee. Mixing guitar based pop with the almost saccharine vocals of lead singer Sue, the band are evocative of the early 90's indie sound of bands like Heavenly. The additional use of touches like the psychedelically choppy guitars on 'The Way I Choose' help to keep the songs both engaging and likeable. Interestingly making use of the internet and sites like mp3.com they're certainly trying to make themselves heard of. Keep up the good work.Chris Trickey, Buzz Magazine March 2000The HoneyTrap - Get Stuck in! (Demo Review)The HoneyTrap. Apt name. The sound is slick, well-produced and ever so slightly saccharine..the vibe is mellow and summery, the vocals laidback and soulful...one to watch out for.(A full version of this review will appear in S.O.S.P. available free in the Cardiff area.) |
