Artist History
Formed in early 1999, the members who comprise the band are: Gord Houghton on guitar & vocals, Brad Hofer on bass and Jason Madden on drums. They bring many individual talents and experiences to the stage. Through individual contributions to the music comes a unique sound that collectively makes up the signature that is Symington Yard. Their seasoning, from past projects, ranges from the Local Band Scene and a soundtrack for film to two years on the Sunfest Main Stage in Gimli, Manitoba opening for such bands as Moist and Sponge. In their home town of Winnipeg, their experience has included a track on a compilation homegrown album, a spot on "Live On Lombard" for a local television station and more recently, the opening act for Sass Jordan. |
