Artist History March 2001 was the best month in Slagwagons career so far:At the same time 6 songs in the Glam Rock top 10 on mp3.com, „Gingerman“ and „Download your mp3“ alternately #1 and #2.Their new Album „Download your mp3“ was best selling CD on mp3.com over 2 weeks.SLAGWAGON is a band from Regensburg, Bavaria. Founded in March 1998.They decided to be a trio, because this line-up tells you the best, what´s hot in a song and what´s not.Anton"Judy" was axe-shaking in a Punkband, also studiing classical guitar.He's the panelbeater of the Wagon.Rudi played around in Blues and Jazz-Bands, also studiing acoustic-bass.He's the wheels of the Wagon.Roland, the "man from Cuba", is the motor of the Wagon.Their passion is to give their songs mood,flavour and a sometimes cheap thrill.A big thank you to all of you, who gave and give us downloads! I've heard studio recordings that didn't sound this good. Lead singer/guitarist Anton "Judy" Seutter has been said to sound like Lou Reed and I have to agree. Bassist Rudi Bayer and drummer Hans Pritsch provide a great back beat on a well written album. The music has a early rock and surf rock feel that I have never heard from any other band.
