Artist History
Risingson came about around February '99 when Keyboardist Donna Maciocia was drafted in amongst the 4 lads - Brett, Dave, Rich and Ross. For 2 years before that the lads had made a name for themselves playing in a band simply called 'Coffee' which had built them a strong following locally. It was at the start of '99 when the lads decided they needed a new edge to the music to help them move in the direction they wanted to.Donna had been a friend of the bands and was therefore an obvious choice for the job.She accepted...and Risingson was born. |

Press Reviews
Review from gig in Aberdeens Northern Exposure festival:"Risingson (from Edinburgh) also have epic-rock as their speciality. Synth-enhanced, in a Faith No More style, and mad-for-it attitude of their lead singer, Rich, made a great show. Leaping up on the tables, hanging from the ceiling, and encouraging their throng on moshing fans, it's obvious Rich has no shame. Good for him." |
