Press Reviews It's not that Orange County country singer Marc Corey Lee isn't in a hurry to be a star. He just isn't in a hurry to swallow someone else's vision of how he should go about it. He wants to do it on his terms. So the Rancho Santa Margarita resident has quietly built a catalog of hot songs, played the Southern California club circuit and produced two indie label CDs, waiting not so much to be discovered as to find the right time and situation to make his move. Seems like the iron is hot. Lee, who walked off with the 1998 Best Country Artist award at the Los Angeles Music Awards on Nov. 16, has a March 24 date in Nashville, Tenn., playing a showcase for a group of record label executives. It's a gig likely to write his ticket to stardom.
