Artist description
It was a Friday night at the Reef in New Port Ritchey, Florida and Linda arrives and greets her band mates, when the drummer said to the guitar player "look at her, she looks like she's high on life". She definitely lights up the stage every time she begins to sing with her powerful voice, big smile, and dynamic dance moves.Ê Influenced by many recording artists such as Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and the late Selena, Linda is sharing with us her first recording project. She sang her first melodies in New York City, where she was born from Dominican parents. Then the family moved to the Dominican Republic where she continued developing her singing abilities. She performed with her church choir, and was a backup vocalist for a teen group where she first experienced working in recording studios. She returned to the states and arrived in Florida. There she began as a solo act performing in Orlando, Florida, at the Marriott Orlando World Center.Ê Then she relocated to the Tampa Bay area where she has performed at various local venues with different local performing artists adding her Latin touch. Today she brings us her first original musical production with the helping hands of Luis Ascanio; a producer/songwriter/composer, graduated from Berklee School of Music, who is based in Orlando, Florida.Ê This project still under production includes songs co-written by Linda, and within we will find a variety of dance rhythms, such as Techno, Latin, Flamenco and many more.Ê Also, we will hear her sing in her native language, Spanish.Ê One that she is very fluent in. So keep your eyes and ears open for Linda Garcia. Ê Ê ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
