Artist description
Many bands set out to be "the next (fill in band name here)". But Portland, Oregon band coloured heaven’s blue has a different take. They set out to defy comparison. Just when you think you have them nailed down to a particular sound, another of their influences creeps up and makes you second guess your comparison. Whether it be the straight ahead acoustic guitar, the melodic integration of the flute, the simmering bounce of Afro-Cuban style percussion, or the bass player yearning for the band to turn punk, coloured heaven’s blue will do its best to see to it that critics and concert-goers alike have a variety of styles in which to place the band’s music. |
