Artist description
Following the success of the band Unilever featuring Neil from MTV’s Real World comes another great release from Malkin Records: Anthony Joseph, the former front man of the band Those Meddling Kids. Anthony has struck out on his own with his debut release “Flying at the Speed of Emotion”. In the wake of such power pop acts like Matchbox 20, Matthew Sweet and Vertical Horizon, Anthony has created an array of pop songs with a harder edge. With a voice reminiscent of John Lennon’s, A.J. molds a unique blend of Beatle style harmonies with tasteful Rock guitar work. The result is an album that is radio friendly and has bright melodies. With infectious hooks, soulful vocals, ringing guitars, his lyrics probe into people's lives and relationships, as they come apart and struggle to hold on or just to understand--these are the elements that drive this debut release. As a music producer, AJ has become a "hit" with parents as he has remastered older music acts that they grew up with. With a production repertoire ranging from Glen Miller, Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett, Anthony's musical horizon has expanded dramatically with his release of Flying At The Speed of Emotion. AJ includes songs like the hard rock track, Father, the melodic Feel It Too, to the acoustic ballad Favorite Place - a perfect pop song to make those imperfect dark spells bearable. |

Press Reviews
Nice guy with a guitar writes catchy hooks and enunciates with maniacal precision. A genius behind the glass slaps a shivering tremolo sound on top of slick professionalism and creates pop gems with a little noise for the cynics. - Mike M. Listen.com |
