Artist description
As composer, Steve has written for music libraries as well as video, dance and theater productions since 1991. His music with his brother Kevin has been featured on National Public Radio's ECHOES program in 1994 and 1999. Steve is a graduate of the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, PA where he studied composition & music theory with Jeffrey Mumford and guitar performance with William Peters. Being active as a composer of concert pieces and music for various media, Kornicki's mission is to dissolve barriers between politically defined "genres" of music and embrace all forms as equally relevant to the modern composer. |

Group Members
Percussionist Kevin Kornicki owns and operates a full recording studio where he has engineered a variety of musical productions including Squonk Opera’s Bigsmorgasbordwunderwerk. Kevin has designed sound for theatrical performances including Pittsburgh City Theatre’s Santaland Diaries ( 2000 season) and the University of Pittsburgh’s "Moby Dick Rehearsed" by Orson Welles. |
