Artist description
Patrice Moerman has just released her debut CD "Following A Dream." It is
electric guitar driven rock, inspired by the seminal rock artists of the late
60's and early 70's,
but with a modern attitude. Patrice wrote the music and lyrics to all the
songs and plays electric guitar, piano and does all the vocals. "Following A
Dream" was recorded at Bias Studios (www.biasrecording.com) and was produced
by Jim Robeson, a highly acclaimed producer and engineer, 3 time Grammy
nominee and fantastic bass player who plays on every song of this CD. If you
like guitar solos check out Paul Bell. His amazing guitar pushes these songs
over the top. Also playing are 2 talented drummers, Andy Haley and Mike
Griffith, both with his own distinctive style.
And there is Bill Starks on the Hammond C-3 organ and Luis Garay on congas
and percussion. The songs "Following A Dream", "No Gold Digger" and "Don't
Walk Away" won honorable mentions from The Billboard Songwriting Contest and
Patrice was a finalist in the www.guitargirls.com songwriting contest
sponsored by Lynn Carey Saylor, founder of the Web site.
Patrice studied art in school and has worked as an illustrator and graphic
artist. The artwork on the "Following A Dream" cover is one of her paintings.
But Patrice is a self-taught musician who played piano and guitar all her
life, and started writing songs only a few years ago. In 2 1/2 years she
exploded with almost 50 songs and more on the way. She first sought help from
old friends Alan and Donna Burns, former program directors for rock radio and
currently expert consultants in the field of radio (www.burnsradio.com) and
the recording industry (www.pickthehits.com). Alan helped Patrice make the
first demo tape which led to the production of this album.
If you are tired of the status quo in the current music scene, check out
"Following A Dream." It may be your kind of music! |
