Artist History
For ages and ages, the followers of the right hand path have tried to opress the pagan traditions and beliefs, justified by their "holy" book of lies. Yet, they have not stood the test of time. Today, christianity collapses and rots like a decaying corpse. The true pagan traditions and beliefs have thus survived. The pagan spirit and identity is still within us, and the pagan black metal band Hellebaard is one of its representatives.
Hellebaard's unique style is a mix of nordic black metal and European pagan metal, inspired by the echoes of battle horns, knocking of weapons, and cries of victory and death. Hellebaard's lyrics are both in English and Dutch, the language of Hellebaard's fatherland, dependent on the language which captures the song's pagan spirit the best.
Hellebaard is founded by the ex-members Zarlack (bass, drums and vocals) and Volmorth (guitars, keyboards and vocals) of the legendary Dutch black metal band In Ruins.
Hail to true metal, and keep the pagan spirit alive! |
