Artist description
This GREAT new band is as American as apple pie,
performing a broad variety of original music. Look for
other musical styles in future releases, though
their roots are undoubtedly Rock and Roll! |

Artist History
Formed in early 2002 though friends for many years,
this band developed as a means of musical
expression for the members as well a means of
releasing original material by American Artists.
Hum-Drum records is a small fledging, fully
indepent (ie low budget) label developed as a
means of presenting American talent that may
otherwise remain unheard.
Some of us are new to music, some have played
since the 60's. Some have performed under other
names (but we can't tell ya who!!!)...
It is our intention to feature a variety of
artists that all have one thing in common, they
are all American Bred! |
|
Group Members
See information regarding each release. Core
members are Phil O'Ceffe and Blaine Haydn.
The concept of American Bred was developed by
along with the songwriter/producer/contributor
phil maiorano. American Bred! is based in the
northeast and the debut album was recorded in New
Hampshire, where the state motto is "Live Free or
Die"! |

Press Reviews
We have pasted the review from the liner notes
of our debut release. This was written by
Rikki-Tikki Tivan of the New Hampshire Rock Press.
This album done secretly and was not heard
by anyone prior to release. Recording quality
is actually quite good for an amateur effort!
We can.tell you that everyone who has heard it so
far finds at least one song they really love, and
it is unlikely anyone with a focused, specific
musical preference will like every song on
"... And Music For ALL!", but very likely everyone
will find a song that really hits home! Here is
Rikki's Review:
''Just as our Country is a 'melting pot' for many diverse cultures,
this first Album for America's newest great musical act
is a collection of diversified tunes. This ecclectic offering shows
influences from musical styles ranging from classic Rock
& Roll, like the track that bears the name of the band, to the jazz
colored "RainForest", and the swing styled "Miss Ima Krabbe".
The strange hard Rocker, "EarthDay" has a cynical tone. Classical
influence pervades "I'll Miss You" and the pop oriented derivative
of Pachelbel's Canon in D, "Pack A Bell", while the instrumental
piece, "Elves withHammers" sounds like music from a children's
cartoon! The album's title, "...And Music For All", reflects this
broad range of appeal their music has, as well as their belief in
the basic premise of America, that all of us are created
equally! Granted, not all musical styles are represented here but
this is just their first album! The recording quality is excellent for
a first effort, and more vocal pieces would be welcomed in the
future. This is a Band who's Time Has Come! Who are these
mystery boys really? It doesn't matter, just listen to these songs
- you're bound to like at least one regardless of your musical
tastes. Independently produced and recorded, this first effort
deserves high commendation and your support!''
