Artist History
Zot's Dream is named after a cat, a cat whose nasty yet charming apartment in chinatown spawned countless variations of "May[will] the circle be unbroken," "Amazing Grace," and "Folsom Prison Blues," all belted out in bizarre harmony during many a drunken party.
Eventually, 4 regulars of aforementioned drunken parties decided to channel their musical resources and their diverse cultural backgrounds to create a purely postmodern traditional vibe. From the ancient, pagan, rolling moss/menhir covered hills of the Bronx, to the yodel-filled fertile appalachian valleys of Brookline, Mass, climbing the jagged Transylvanian peaks of the Upper East Side and ending up in the steamy vaudeville clubs and bordellos of Cobble Hill, we bring our music and traditions to your barroom or bar mitzvah speakeasy. |
