Artist description
Raucous, manic, aggressive, energetic, angry and
exciting. Welcome to the world of STONE CODA.
Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Leroy Buckley,
with brother Aly on bass and drummer Jason Panudy,
this powerful UK trio have fused a host of
trans-Atlantic influences into a rocket-fuelled
assault on the senses, which will leave you
breathless! Imagine, if you will, a melting pot
of monster riffs, high energy and stabbing
emotion. Think Foo Fighters meets Rage Against
The Machine and you’ll be heading in the right
direction. In their element on stage, the trio
produce a wall of sound, which leaves you
confounded by their 3-piece status. A full on
guitar assault one moment, a dynamic dip the
next. Songs focus on a whole range of human
emotions and experiences, all with a trademark,
cynical, tongue-in-cheek twist that belies the
trios love of irony and fatefulness of life.STONE
CODA recently launched their debut single
‘Beautiful Yet Brutal’ through Silent Hope
Productions and will be playing selective shows
across the UK, and beyond, during the coming
months.

Artist History
INSPIRATION – NAME AND STYLE
If anyone has ever been in a band they will
know the absolute nightmare task of choosing
a name for your band. Getting everyone to agree
that “this” is the name your going to be known as
from now on ain’t as easy as it seems. You think
“give us half on hour and we’ll think of something
really cool”. But as the minutes, hours and days
go by a bundle of names have been mentioned, with
nothing more of an “ it’s ok I suppose “. Of
course you think it’s the best band name ever
thought of, but your band mates tend not to agree.
So the saga continues…
When we decided on the name STONE CODA, we did
actually have a list of about 10 names we liked,
so we basically checked out each name for
availability. (no point calling yourself
something a hundred other bands are called). We
wanted a name that reflected who the band were
and what we’re about. So down to business. Without
trying to bore you with details a CODA is
sometimes used in a piece of hand written music.
It’s the section that ends a song, particularly if
you want the ending to be different from the rest
of the piece. And STONE, well…pretty explanatory.
We’re just really saying that STONE CODA is the
last part of our musical journey, hopefully to
last us for the rest of our lives. As a unit we’re
very content. We work together really well and
“think” we’re producing something really good. And
if the “fans” out there continue to get into the
music then there’s nothing to stop us building on
the success we’re already having. And we’re that
tight a unit it’s set in stone. If we’re
successful, we’re going to be around for a long
time. As for inspiration of our style, that’s
quite simple. We’re simply into a lot of the new
bands at the moment. We think there’s a lot of
good stuff getting played and a lot of good bands.
Our hearts will always lie in playing
rock/alternative music because that’s what we
listen too. I’m not saying that’s ALL we listen
too because that simply isn’t true. Our tastes
are quite diverse, from R.A.T.M to Tori Amos. I
really like Alanis, Elvis, The Beatles, Country
and classical and Jason (drummer) likes some of
the rocking dance tunes. But we all have copies
of Linkin Park, System of a down, Pearl Jam,
Limp Bitzkit, Blink 182, Sum 41 etc in our CD
collection. We never try to sound like anyone but
we’re all influenced in everything we do.
Basically you don’t get a better felling than
thrashing out some rocking tune and watching the
crown really getting off on it. So there we are
We’ll be releasing 3 singles over the next year
in association with SILENT HOPE. They will be made
available through the web site, other music web
sites and at gigs etc. These are just the first
steps of the STONE CODA journey. There are gig’s
being booked as we speak, the single is going out to radio
stations around the world, there’ll be a lot of
press about the band soon in local and industry
magazines. Interest in the web sites is
growing by the day with more and more hit’s
especially to www.teamstonecoda.com
