Artist History
Vocalist/guitarist Blair and bassist/drummer Fuzz started writing songs together in 1991. With Blair's experiences in pop and dance music and Fuzz in alternative and hard rock, they developed a style that stood out among the other Portland, Oregon area r ock bands.
In 1993 they formed the band 'Verla', a six piece act with a "bigger than life" sound similar to that of Stabbing Westward and Creed. In 1995 they released their first album titled 'Verla's Trace', which received rave reviews from local crit ics.
When Verla disbanded in 1998, Blair and Fuzz continued to write material for their new project called 'UnPopular Club'.
After growing up together in the northwest music and art scene, Blair and Fuzz have been inspired to write their material from life experiences. Joy, sadness, humor, and seduction are all samples of the emotion in the lyrical content of UnPopular Club's music. |

Press Reviews
"UnPopular Club blares compelling pop!" - Just Out Magazine
"Technically, 'Will You Love Me Too?' is a well-written song. The melody and hook is easy to sing along to and could be a massively popular pop ballad. UnPopular Club shows a knack for creating hooky, melodic, lyrically satisfying and harmonically advanced material." - Tonos Entertainment A&Rd |
