Artist History misura has been a band since late 1998. in the first few months the band recorded a demo cd entitled "shame of the nation" and started playing shows, immediatly they were able to headline as the buzz in hampton roads was incredible. their musical sledgehammer has continued to dominate the local area as far as draw (they have not had a local show under 150 people in 2 years), and carnage in the pit. after a few lineup changes the band continues it's assault as it has taken to booking full US tours, in the last two years the band has played over 300 out of town shows and has gone accross the country playing in every major and most minor markets in the united states.touring with such national acts as sworn enemy, poison the well, unearth, punishment, spark lights the friction, and having played shows with such bands as hatebreed, wolfpac, dying fetus, cause for alarm, blood for blood, darkest hour, diecast, god forbid, converge, and many many more. MISURA have proven time and time again that they will not be held down. in 2002 the band has released it's much anticipated cd entitled "the subtle kiss of a sledgehammer" on too damn hype records who have also released such bands as wolfpac (ex - bloodhound gang), eastcide, candiria, bad luck 13 riot extravaganza, indecision, stigmata, and many many others. now teamed up with hollowpoint management (skinlab, pissing razors, christian death, and many more), and too damn hype records MISURA is poised to take their music to the next level total global domination. they will be on numerous tours and will be heading out for two full us tours by the end of summer.
