Artist History
The Velmas spawned from the musical group Pourjayce. After retiring from that act in early 1999, bassist Todd "Figaro" Minnick, drummer Michael "Bruce" Bruce, and guitarist Mike "Harvey" Grosshandler reformed as The Velmas.
Creating a name for themselves with their high-energy shows, The Velmas have been working steadily at nightclubs in Albany, Syracuse and many other places around New York. As a result, the band's popularity in these areas has been growing, and patrons have been making inquiries for more Velmas music. The Velmas are meeting these requests, and are looking to expand their popularity in New York and the surrounding states.
The band has just released their debut album, "Another Day At School." |
