Artist History
The Shooters roots can be traced back to 1989,
when a sweaty young J.R. Royall met Jason "Stubbie"
Stubblefield at summer band practice before their
freshman year of highschool. It was obvious even
then that these two brilliant souls were destined
to work together to create music, or perhaps fine
quality pottery. Playing together in bands like THE MONASTERY
JANITORS, they fueled an already budding love for
music.
But then, tragedy. Stub had to join the Marines
after all-night Super Nintendo sessions left him
without hope of passing a single college class.
After the Marines, Stub settled in central Virginia.
J.R. soon found himself there as well.
It was here that the two found a drummer, Dan O'Brien.
Unable to handle a friend without a nickname, Dan
soon became "Drummer Dan"- the newest addition to
the band.
It was answering an online ad that led the boys to
find veteran DC guitarist Brian Kenney. Again, it
wasn't long before he became "BK." (not to be
confused with the copywrited trademark of the Burger
King Corporation.) Now, we're here to play music
for you in the northern and central Virginia area,
as well as right on your computer. |
