Artist description The Red Line is a Chicago-based quartet that fuses elements of power pop and acoustic rock to create a unique sound that is all their own. Valuing simplicity over genius and relying on emotion rather than technique, Conor, Kevin, Andy, and Steve joined musical forces in February 2002. Conor, the loveable and ever-so-enthusiastic front-man, handles lead vocals and rhythm guitar with a loud rasp and an even louder VOX amp. Kevin, quite the virtuoso, blends his love of classic and modern rock in order to pollute the airwaves with his heavy guitars. Andy, the self-proclaimed performer and harmonizer, combines his natural bass chops with an energetic stage prowess. And Steve, the sickeningly talented skin crusher, does an indescribably solid job of keeping all of the band’s talents in check. Within a few months of playing together, the Red Line has played a number of local Chicago venues, been featured on Chicago radio (WZRD 88.3), and managed to accumulate over 1,300 qualified plays on this mp3 site. Along the way they placed second at Loyola University Semi-Annual Battle of the Bands and managed to sell over 200 copies of its preliminary demo. Currently, the band is working on new material and continues to improve its already famous live show. In the works are frequent stops at college campuses throughout the area and summer festivals in and around the city.
