Artist description
2001 became the year that changed it all for the band. After 2 years of playing grunge in different lineups they threw everything away. A new lineup was found in Ruud (guitar), Joost (drums), Tom (bass) and Pim (vocals).
Stab Back plays a brutal version of metalcore (a mix of metal & hardcore), with some grunge
and new-metal influences. The band names Slayer, Machine Head, (old) Korn, Deftones and Nirvana as influences but mostly less known band and local bands have influenced the band for sure. Influences you hear in Stab Back’s version of nowadays metal.
In their songs they handle subjects like rape, personals problems that need to be overcome, backstabbing and lies. And ofcourse the lyrics about life and death, the usual subject, an organized confusion according to one of the songs.
This year the band played with bands like 37 Stabwoundz, Anubiz, Blind Sight, Born From Pain, Line of Defense, No Turning Back and Shattered. This summer there are plans for a demo recording, some festivals and some shows.
Just come out to one of our shows and see what Stab Back is all about. |
