Artist History
Sanctified Family was started in early 2000 by Shawn Mills and later joined by Andre Griffith. With less than a year together Sanctified Family has performed in numerous events and youth services in their hometown of New Haven, CT. The name Sanctified Family was inspired by his church family of Holy Word Foundation. The two individuals had their respective secular groups, before excepting Christ in their lives. Shawn has always loved “positive hip-hop”, which tells about life on the streets, which sparked the name for his group “Raw Reality”. “The reality I was kicking wasn’t real or raw because I wasn’t saved. But now I roll with a righteous fleet that pack bibles not heat”. – Shawn Mills
Andre also was a heavy hip-hop lover, but branched out to other forms of music such as classical, and jazz. HPC Productions was the name of his group. “The HPC stands for Head Phone Clique. I always wanted my music to get in the listeners ears. I’ve done some demos to get artists signed to major labels, but it feels better doing it for the Lord”. – Andre Griffith
Together, the music and lyric combination of Sanctified Family bring a sound that captures your attention and yet brings a powerful message, especially for the youth of America.
We can’t take any credit for this union. God blessed us and put us together, so all glory and honor goes to God. – Sanctified Family
