Artist description
Repeat Until False (aka RUF) is a 5 piece punk/hardcore band from Windsor Ontario Canada. Although we have yet to settle with a permanent punk style, we are exploring the different sub genres of punk and hardcore music. Our music is very distinct from others. We put a good amount of time into our music, so give it a chance. Soon enough, you may be one of the many who like it RUF! |

Artist History
The band all started one day in November 2001. Nate wanted to start a parody band to mock a local band. He asked his good friend Jon if he would be interested in playing guitar for his joke band and Jon gladly accepted the position. Now the 2 members only needed a bass player to complete the lineup. They found out that Matt played bass. They asked him to play for the band and he said yes. The band was finally set up and they were ready to start practicing. Their first practice was mid January 2002, where the band crammed into Nate's small basement. Within that first practice the very early version of My Life My Choice was born. The song was almost the same as the one they play nowadays, however the lyrics of the current version were switched with Jon screaming lots of nothing. It was different every time they played it. After about a month of practicing, they decided they needed another guitar player, so they found Asa. The 3 original members anxiously awaited their new guitar player on what was to be their first practice as a 4 piece. When Asa came in, he was followed by the singer of his old band, 3 Pounds of Fun. In the long run, Asa and Adam both joined the band. And Repeat Until False became a 5 piece. They played 4 shows as a 5 piece, the first show being on April 5, 2002 at the Gino A. Marcus. The band played originals along with a few selected covers by Minor Threat, Blink 182, Pennywise and the Ataris. After the 4th show, lead guitarist Asa decided to leave the band. Repeat Until False decided to try to go on as a 4 piece playing shows around Windsor. After doing that for a while the guys decided to add a second guitar player to the line up. They decided on Steve Gibb and with him they began to pump out new song after new song. Just as RUF started to play out of town shows The Biz (Matt) decided to leave due to personal (naked) reasons. His place was filled with Dave Fulton from the Dumpster Drunx. After working Dave in the boys decided to hit the road for a short southern Ontario tour. After the tour they recorded and released their first studio quality cd "KillingChildrenForOil" and that brings us to today. |
