Artist History ANIMAL – Is defined in the dictionary as "…a brutish, debased, or inhuman person; physical rather than mental or spiritual…," and the artist who created the music behind this title has created a harrowing story about the darker side of humanity. J. was born in the mid seventies in Georgia, but after his family broke apart his mother moved him and his older sister to the Ozarks of Missouri. Growing up in the midwest, J. found great joy in music. An uncommonly talented child, J. began playing the piano at age 4, and was featured as a vocalist in talent shows and local stage productions, hitting the airwaves with a self- produced account of spousal abuse at the age of 16. J. also toured small clubs with several local bands and as a solo performer. Upon graduating from High School, J. received full scholarship offers to many different universities based on his musical gifts and incredible test scores. But he had a different path in mind, and fled to New York City, where he struggled to maintain a tiny apartment, work two jobs, and record the stunning album, ANIMAL.
