Artist History
Formed in 1979 in Portland Oregon. That version of the band only lasted in it's original configuration until November of 1979. From 1980 through early 1984 the band moved from Portland to Seattle, then New York City. Along the way past members include: Portland's jazz guitarist Dan Balmer and drummer Chris Lee. In Seattle: Myles Boisen (he just played on Tom Waits newest record)and Craig Flory (who plays with everybody in Seattle) The New York version of the band included: Curlew's George Cartwright on sax, Louis Belogenis on sax (who now gigs and records with Rashied Ali) Mark Howell on guitar (at the time also a member of Curlew) and avant-rock guitarist Chris Cochrane) In the summer of 2001 the original trio version of Faceditch reformed and in January of 2002 began recording their first cd. |
