    Artist History
David and Phil started playing together first. They met through a mutual friend with whom they'd both played in a band. Matt, one day, just asked if he could hook up with them. David already had a couple of tunes written, including one instrumental he and Matt had previously written together. They worked with the tunes that David had brought out and came up with an actual set by the middle of January '02. One evening in passing, David told me (Joey) that he had been playing with these guys and the band was called TWO BIT HOODS. I thought that it was a catchy name and it sounded cool to me so I went by that night. Man, I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. These guys were really catchy and the riffs were exactally like some of the riffs that I had been screwin' around with at home on my own. The songs were short, no dragging, no frills. Just Rock n' Roll. I kept going over to catch practice every Sunday and Monday. I believe on the third monday, I called David to see if they were practicing and he asked if I wanted to bring my stack over. I wasted no time, they taught me the songs that I didn't know (not that they were SO simple, I just liked them so much that I made it a point to commit most of them to memory and play on my own time) and then we played our first show on Feb. 27th, 2002. We continued to play a few different clubs here in town and we eventually recorded our first demo on June 2-3. We, at first, planned to release the demo and call it "Get Released", but as time passed we did as most bands do and became more and more unhappy with one thing or another about the material so just decided to give it away. Check regularly at our website for ALL of the songs and you should eventually be able to get them all for free.
