Artist description In the fall of the year 2000 a small punk band emerged from nothing in the Dutch city of 's Hertogenbosch. This fall five people who had never actually known each other before, met through similar ads that had been spread through the city. All looking for a musical way to express themselves they found each other in punk music. Together they started a band that would later be named "Orcastrated". Ever since that very beginning "Orcastrated" started on a way of its own, trying to avoid drowning in the main stream. Over the last couple years this has resulted in a band that plays streetpunk with very variable influences. Therefore we are still not sure if streetpunk is the correct word for what we do. But if you look further into our music it won't be hard to find influences such as oi, ska, rock 'n roll and probably a whole lot of other genres inside. "Orcastrated" just simply sounds like "Orcastrated" and that's just the way we like playing our music and love playing our gigs. Our lyrics are about daily life issues. No nonsense, just straight to the point "this is what we think about it." lyrics. Love, hate, life and death. Its all there. At this point "Orcastrated" is just trying to play their music at as many gigs as possible. Hoping that other people will enjoy their music as much as they do and find a little of themselves in their lyrics.
