Artist description
M.T. Helmut and The Dead Cadets is a Post Punk / New Wave band from TX. Their unique brand of music ranges from satirical and scathing to pretty and poppy, depending on the occasion. M.T. Helmut is the band leader, and his negative views on mass media-propogated imagery and ideas combined with his disgustingly hopeless sense of Romanticism set the stage for a combination of memorable lyrics, guitar layering and keyboard harmonies, accompanied by the musical input and talent of The Dead Cadets. |

Press Reviews
"M.T. Helmut and The Dead Cadets are one extremely outlandish American "Goth in the furthest sense of the word" formation, since the combo lets Psychadelic Rock, New Wave, Punk, and Goth flow into its unique sound . . . Friends of strange ear fodder should give M.T. Helmut and The Dead Cadets a chance."
- Thomas Thyssen, Zillo Magazine, Germany (translation from Thesaurus.com) |
