Artist description In the late Fall of 1987, Anthony Ukena (tones) was walking to Balboa Park Station when he noticed an old friend, Danny Cao walking towards him. They spoke, said hi and realized that since they last saw each other five years prior, they had developed similar musical interests and found out that they were both musicians. Tones played guitar and Danny sung and played keyboards. Immediately they started rehearsing Joy Division and The Smiths songs and shared to each other their own stuff. From 1987-1989 they recorded lots of material that are archived and may be released soon. They did manage to make it to the recording studios and recorded the track here called "Curtains Closed" at Seargay Studios in Berkeley, California. Danny Cao is now a member of the group Vinyl (www.vinylgroove.com) and tones has become a side musician periodically playing at cafes and recording on the side as a hobby. Hope you enjoy the song as we spent 16 hours in the studio recording it over and over again until we got the best possible sound for the money we invested and studio time we allocated to making this song.
