Artist description No, we are not a Scandanavian death metal band. Dystopia is Liz Maw on vocals, monkey on keys, Shinya on sitar and programming and Shiggy provides the images. Dystopia exists somewhere between life and art and combines profound storytelling with an ambient, industrial-romantic soundscape: post-millenial spoken word chill music to tickle the ears of the jaded listener.

Artist History Dystopia formed early 2000 when artist/poet Liz Maw and keyboardist monkey met and started making music together. Soon after they met Shinya, a travelling Japanes Gypsy with a sitar under his arm, and they started performing together. Dystopia released their debut album 'the wisdom of insecurity' later that year.
