Artist History
In late 2001, the estate of a deceased artist friend approached me to sort through and compile his musical output. The artist was a very private man, and according to his family's wishes, will remain anonymous. I'll refer to him only as Linus Zero.
While rummaging through piles of recorded material, some of it brilliant, some bizarre and unintelligible, I came across a collection of songs that had obviously been intended for a concept album of sorts. From what I have gathered, I imagine he would have wanted to name this album "Linus J. Roach's Ultra-Violet Peep Show." It is a piece that deals with subjects that I have reason to believe led to Linus' eventual demise: addiction, perversion and alienation. Towards the end, Linus was beginning to explore new territory, particularly modern heavy rock and drum'n'bass. He finished work on four of these songs before he passed away in 1999 at the age of 27. This material can be found at the bottom of the song page. |
