Artist History
Canadian-born pianist Darrett Zusko is quickly establishing himself as an artist throughout
North America, performing solo recitals and with
renowned orchestras in Canada and The United States. From Windsor
Ontario, Darrett began the piano at the age of four.
He is now, at the age of 18, the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the Grand
Prize at the 2002 CMC International Stepping Stones Competition in Canada,
3rd prize at the 2002 International Russian Music
Competition, 1st prize at the 2001 Oberlin International
Piano Competition, and 1st prize at the 20th Bartok-Kabalevsky-
Prokofiev International Piano Competition.
Mr. Zusko has had the opportunity to work with such renowed artists as Barry Snyder, Anton Kuerti,
Paul Ostrovsky, and Marek Jablonski to name but a few.
For the past few years, Darrett studied extensively with famed
pianist Ronald Turini (a student of the legendary Vladimir Horowitz).
Mr. Zusko is currently working towards his Bachelor of music degree at The Juilliard
School in New York as a student of Julian Martin.
