"Susan James and Thrilltrain" is a soul and blues band that plays good house-rockin music which will keep you moving. Audiences are thrilled by the depth and feeling of Susan James vocals. Her voice is reminiscent of the classic sweet soul sound of the premiere female blues artists of the past. Susan has been working as a soloist with several soul-gospel choirs for the past 6 years, and has done studio work with various artists. "Thrilltrain", started out as a soul and blues group with veteran musicians from different bands. Andre DeVito, on Lead Guitar and Vocals, has worked with many musicians, including "Johnny Nitro and the Door Slammers". He is a regular at "The Saloon" on Sunday nights in North Beach. Dave Stewart, Rhythm Guitarist and Vocals, is a veteran of blues and soul music for over 30 years, and has worked with many bands such as "The Fog", "Coast Side Favorites", and "The Stage Road Rockers". Dan Bickel, on Bass Guitar and Vocals, has been holding down the low end for 27 years and has worked with many musicians including the local cover bands "Flipside", and "Native Tongue". The man keeping it all together on Drums and Vocals is Phil Fazio, who has been playing for 20 years and has worked with various cover and original bands, including "The Dropseeds", "Middlechild" and "Hollow". Newest member of the group is Linda Allen whose talent on keyboard and vocals creates a sonic richness that lifts the band to new heights. This combination of talent and experience enables "Susan James and Thrilltrain" to satisfy the Rock, Rhythm, and Blues desires of any audience.
