    Artist description
StraightLine is a 5-Piece Melodic Technical Punk Band From Des Moines, WA. They Describe their music as "melodicore" which melds elements of punk, emo, and hardcore. StraightLine's music resembles that of thier influences: Strung Out, Slick Shoes, and Thrice. Their Enegergetic live show is matched by their technical dueling guitar riffs and tight bass lines, melded with the fast beat and agressive but melodic vocals. Their purpose is to give back to God the gift of music that he's given them and tell their perspective on life to relate to kids going through hard times.

    Artist History
StraightLine Began in the September of 2000. Surviving members of another band, Joel and Matt, decided to get a little more technical and melodic. They Found Greg and Tony to play guitar and bass. They released their first album Fishing for Hope, but problems were brewing. Greg left the next summer and within 3 minutes Nick was asked to replace him. Shortly after the bands first show with Nick, Greg rejoined, this time as soley vocals. They began work on their second album (Second Chances) but problems between the members started taking their toll. Nick stepped out mutually, and soon after Greg and Tony resigned due to musical differences. Tyler was asked to join and within minutes of Nick's departure he gladely accepted. Josh was sought through a mutual friend and he left his project at the time to join. Joel finished the rest of the album himself while Josh and Tyler were brought up to speed. During this transition time SL decided to change up thier hand by switcheing all their songs into drop D writing some new material. Shortly after this Nick rejoined as a 3rd guitarist and this brings us to present day. So finally SL is Back to normal and better than ever before!
