Artist description
Rook Infinite (pronounced Infinity) is one of Youngstown's premiere lyricists. He has been dropping it since 1990, where he started out in Dallas,Texas, then moved back to his native land of Youngstown, Ohio (born in Mariel, Cuba and migrated to the US in 1987), and experienced life through the streets, making kids, getting education, going through all sorts of things, all while developing himself as an audio and visual artist. His style was heavily influenced by Rakim's multi-syllable rhyming structure, further pioneerend by Kool G. Rap, GURU, Grand Daddy I.U. Big Daddy Kane, ect...He became uninterested with the studio gangster rap style that was popular among the artists of his late teenage years, and stuck with the substantial lyricists even though he was living the street life.
He first became introduced to the studio by a cousin named Jere Beulah, and rapped over certain tracks by his camp, then grew into producing his own tracks after meeting up with Cle Jones (now a long time friend)of Sharon PA, and later on with Padrone, also from Youngstown. Rook Infinite began staying close with these two producers and complied a massive collection of songs and demos.
Rook Infinite is a lyricist that is HIGHLY introspective, poetic in his style, contemplative of the world's ways, tied in with nature, science, and philosophy (religion) as well as human sentiment. he is a "human's rapper" or self-dubbed "The People's Rapper" |
