Artist History
The Blaze of Glory story begins in 1986 when three
bloody, smelly, ugly little boys were born in
different parts of the country. Over a decade
later, these three strapping young men are living
in the same neighborhood in South Carolina and
have grown up across the street from each other
for most of their lives. It took many youthful
games of capture the flag and Power Rangers and
many years of (what some would call) maturity
for the boys to realize their true calling: stripping.
Stripping, however, was not lucritive for the
boys. So, they turned to the next best thing: music.
Brett "Melissa" Kent, Greg "Junebug" Slattery,
and Michael "I'm-sorry-officer-i-didn't-know-dancing
-naked-on-top-of-a-moving-vehicle-was-illegal"
Spawn joined together in December of 2000 to form
Blaze of Glory. Brett plays bass guitar and is
one of the frontmen. Greg plays guitar and also
co-fronts the band. Michael plays the drums and
that's about all he does. They began practicing
in Michael's garage at the end of 2000, which
means that they have been a band for some time. |
