Artist History
FOREVER was formed in the fall of 2001.
Although FOREVER is a new band, in essence they are veteran musicians who
were looking for the right combination of musicianship, personality,
creativity, and flair to succeed. Within this group of six musicians there
is decades of combined experience, strong song writing capability, great
musicianship, and vast road experience.
Lead guitarist Bernie Eagles has played with Helix, Peter Criss, and Esther
Young (Neil's sister). Drummer Keith Dawson was a member of the ECMA and
JUNO nominated band - Eaglefeather. Lead singer Derek Johnson, and keyboard
player Stan Johnson both received ECMA nominations last year as members of
The Relatives. The band's other keyboard player, Graeme McCausland from
Saint John, is a classically trained keyboard player who covers the spectrum
from church choirs to speed metal. Peter Christmas plays bass and sings
backup vocal. Christmas is veteran musician and has appeared on stage with
Jeff Healey, Sass Jordan, Susan Aglukark, Jani Lauzon, and Glass Tiger.
The band's performance schedule has been busy. They recently opened for
Crush during the Rock The Dock series in Sydney, and for Julian Austin
during the Granville Green Concert Series in Port Hawkesbury. They have also
played club dates at Smooth Herman's Cabaret in Sydney, Dan K. Stevens
Memorial Arena in Eskasoni, Rollie's Wharf in North Sydney NS, Rack 'n' Roll
in New Waterford, and Harvest Fest in Yarmouth NS. Future bookings also
include dates in Glace Bay, Halifax, Charlottetown, Saint John, and Moncton.
FOREVER - has been selected by MIANS (Music Industry Association of Nova
Scotia) to showcase during Nova Scotia Music Week festivities in Halifax.
FOREVER will be part of the showcase of Nova Scotia talent on stage Friday
night September 27th at the Marquis. They have also been selected to

21.

Press Reviews
Another group that seems destined to make a very large splash at Harbourfest is Cape Breton’s newest rock band Forever. Having just completed recording their first album, Forever spent most of June at Soundpark Studios, working with ECMA award winning engineer and producer, Jamie Foulds. The album, “Welcome to Forever”, presently being mastered at MetalWorks in Toronto will be released at Smooth Herman’s on September 19th. The band was formed in the fall of 2001, and is a group that holds decades of combined experience, strong writing capability, as well as vast musicianship and road experience.

The band's other keyboard player, Graeme McCausland from Saint John, is a classically trained keyboard player who covers the spectrum of church choirs to speed metal. John Hogan, of Sydney River, is the band’s bass player. The debut album, features 13 tracks, written by Keith Dawson and Bernie Eagles. The first single, ‘Here With Me’, will be shipped to radio in August. The band, known to cover a wide range, from Creed, Journey, AC/DC, and old time rock and roll, look forward to making their mark at Harbourfest and giving a preview of their upcoming release. They have seen a steady call for bookings, which include the opening slot for Julian Austin at Granville Green on August 18th. Forever is poised to rock this summer.
