Artist description Xang is a new french Progressive Rock Band from the north of France. More specifically from the city of Cambrai. Their 1996 demo was well-received all over the world. Xang's music is instrumental with great melodies and a rare technical skill (some of the members have been musicians since the tender age of 8). Xang are original enough that it is difficult to compare them to an existing band, but names like Dream Theater, Rush, Marillion and Pendragon have been used when trying. Even if Destiny of a Dream is an instrumental album it is a concept album about dreams and every song has a lyric in both French and in English. Xang were discovered by Galileo records when they played at the ProgLive in Corbigny. After that, they supported Arena for their gig in Lille, in the north of France). Today they have finished the recording sessions and the CD will be available in September.It's a must !! The missing piece between progrock and progmetal ?
