Artist description
The Laugh is a quintet made up two of Guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. These instruments are used in an even distribution to make up a flowing yet constantly different stream of voices with a slightly melancholy and intense approach to music. At times sounding ambient or electronic while still holding on to a drive that gives you an urge do a little head nodding. |

Artist History
We have been playing together since 1996. We have gone through multiple drummers, a guitarist, and a singer. Some of our old band names include Surreal,Madcap, and Torsion. We came across "The Laugh" by mis-interpreting the meaning of a name suggested by the band Rammstein to our keyboardist. They suggested dielaufa. We thought it meant "the laugh" so that's what we called ourselves. But later we found out it means "to run" but we stuck with The Laugh. |
