Artist History When you mention the name Ernie-c. in music circles people know that you are refering to the hard-rocking guitarist from Ice T's infamous heavy metal group, Body Count However,they may not realize that Ernie-C is an accomplished guitarist in a variety of musical styles, a talented songwriter and lyricist,and an able album producer. Indeed. Ernie-C.'s history in the music business is long standing and multi-faceted. To be sure,Ernie-C. is best known as the guitar player from Body Count. What is probably less known is the fact that Ernie was the co-writer of all three Body Count albums-Body Count,Born dead and Violent Demise,The Last Days as well as co- producer.He as also played on stage or studio with such noteable name's as Janes' Addiction,Sound Garden and Henry Rollins.To name a few. Body Count's history is fairly well known the band began in South Central LA,where Ice-T and Ernie-C. met while attending Crenshaw High School.Ernie was listing to the likes of Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin, and playing in his own speed-mental band,when Ice trapped him to form body count.Enough said.What people dont no is that Ernie's guitar riffs had already been heard on several of Ice T's rap tracks,not to mention assorted movie soundtracks as well as numerous other early hip hop albums Ernie's career has even allowed him to not only meet, but to work with his major influences.Black Sabbath called Ernie in to produce their recent album.Ernie traveled to the UK where he lived and worked with the band for several months putting together the record.In short,when consitering Ernie's career and accomplishments,it's a good bet that he has been there and done that. That is untill now.Ernie-C.has formed his own group The Ernie-C.Encounter fronting the band as both singer and guitar player.Not only is this a brave new begining for Ernie,it is a slight departure from his metal roots. The Ernie-C Encounter is a solidly alternative sounding band.Please join Ernie as he embraces and enhances yet another musical direction.
