Artist History
To date, The Bihlman Bros. have showcased to rousing audience approval everywhere they play in America and Europe, and have appeared with ZZ Top, BB King, Ray Charles, Robert Cray, Jonny Lang, Jeff Healey, Lonnie Mack, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, Buddy Guy, John Mayall, blues legend Junior Wells at the House of Blues in Chicago, KoKo Taylor, Sugar Blue, Chris Duarte, Coco Montoya, and Son Seals to name a few. Their debut Steelhead Records CD, Day By Day, produced by Grammy award winning Memphis heavyweight Jim Gaines, set sales records at Border's Books and Music for an independent release. Their latest CD, Sweet Tooth, also produced by Jim Gaines, has garnered critical acclaim and radio attention. The first single "Burnin' in my Soul", has spent weeks as the #1 most requested song at WKLT. Recently completing a European tour with Telarc Recording artist and Chicago Legend Son Seals, the Bihlman Bros. not only opened the show, but served as Son's backup band, moving from house rockin' funky originals, to traditional Chicago blues with ease. Son also asked the Bros. to join him in the studio with Trey Anastazio of Phish, for a souped up version of his classic "Funky Bitch". That tune was chosen by Telarc records as the single, and the album has subsequently won a W.C. Handy Award! Masterful, hooky songwriting and musical virtuosity are the trademark of this band. Look for big things in the future from The Bihlman Bros.! |
