Artist description Armadillo Man is an animal that has been evolving for years as a kind of social by-product. Having worked with persons who are homeless, mentally ill, HIV infected, and/or drug addicted for more than 15 years Armadillo Man has developed a very different view of the world. A view that is a little closer to the ground than most people’s, and a second skin that has become somewhat more leathery and weathered as a necessary adaptation to the job. Armadillo Man’s view also comes with a voice desperately seeking an outlet. A type of therapy as you will. A way to deal with the demons using art as a way to get it out, remove from it, examine it, and deal with it. The CD Pendulum Swingin’ is a journey seen through the eyes of a street outreach worker by day and a songwriter by night. This recording is meant to tell stories, set moods, and make a statement about human nature, about us..... Whether listening to the whole disk at one time, or hearing it in pieces, the listener will find that some songs blend into one another in an odd, twisted sort of story telling.
