Artist description
If you take your life and split it up into events and thoughts that you feel but rarely express, you've entered the world of Sometime Never. Guitarist / songwriter / vocalist Chris Reynolds summed it up best when he said "I write best when I'm a bit depressed." Which isn't to say that Sometime Never will depress you. Like Mazzy Star or Sunny Day Real Estate, you almost feel like you've escaped your sadness when you listen to them. It's an expression of feelings rarely found in modern music today. A warmth and subtleness pervades here where guitars wind around each other perfectly, the bass resonates softly, but ever present, and light rod and brush work compliment the music without overpowering it. |
